CEL with Agency Power Exhaust
Hey guys,
I was selling this exhaust/mid pipe a few weeks ago but couldnt find a buyer. So I decided to install it. After installations no CEL for about a week. Then it comes up but I didnt feel anything different from the performance. About 2000 miles later (the other day) my car started to "choke". It would have a rough idle and died on me a few times on nuetral. I also noticed my exhaust was shaking very bad too. At first I thought it was flooding. Then I thought of the O2 sensor because the mid pipe did not have a cat. I gave it another go and it took it out for a drive around the base. The "choking" went away and I red lined it up to 4th gear and now its back to normal. My question is did I do any damage to the engine with this fault of mine? Also I ordered a few different O2 Simulators from Ebay hoping one of them would work. Plus all of them have a refund policy which helps a lot. Hope you guys can help me out.
Thanks,
Mark

I would take it to Autozone and get the code(s) pulled. You may have another code along with the existing "no cat" code
A CEL due to having no cat won't hurt performance

I did a bit of searching too... most of the post I saw were waiting for people to reply of those ebay simulators worked. Also searched for flooding. But those post had the car completely dead. Im not much of a car guy so forgive me if I did or said anything wrong. Most of my search were "o2 simulators" "cel" "flooding" "rough idle". Also my friend offered to scan my car in his shop this weekend. So if anyone else has any idea or suggestion Ill roll with what Mazda-Rati said. Thanks Rati.
