Just bought a used 2005 RX8 , love it but something I never tried at the dealer was the CD player, they advertised that it had one clearly and I didnt carry cds with me that day so how am I to know.

took the car home and went to load up a cd... and I get CD In at the top and Cd below, nothing else happens when I press load or eject.

please help , the dealer is closed until saturday, any tips for a newbie would be amazing

 

One of my friends jammed a CD back in to his 8 while it was ejecting and it broke the cog that spins the roller that pulls in/ejects the CDs. Yours might be broken if it's telling you "load" or "eject" and making noise, but not doing anything.

 

You just bought the car, bring it back to the dealer to have them looked at it. If it doesn't load and unload, then it's broken or defective. Do not fix it yourself, you might not get it fixed under warranty if the dealership found out that your trying to fix it yourself.

 

I hate to say this... But, listen to monchie on this, and this alone. That is the 1 and only time I'll say that, I'll say no more...
