catch tank full in 2 hours

Ok having a strange one with my oil I did 2 track sessions yesterday and by the end all my oil was in the catch tank .
Basically I got to the venue hot engine check oil it was about 1/4 up the dip stick so I topped up to just over half way I then did 2 20 minute track sessions over 2 hours then when I came in I parked up popped the hood for some airflow but noticed the catch tank was full so I check my oil and it was bare minimum so what's up with that then seems strange that its being drawn up the filler pipe and into the tank.

I'm thinking that back pressure is causing the oil in the can. Take a look at the condition of the cat. Do the typical, is it glowing red? Pull down the front of the pipe and inspect it's condition.

Hmm I've actually had it off du to a funny rattle the cat is fine maybe a small hole in the middle very small haven't check it for glowing.

Oh the rattle id there with my decat so its not related to the cat

I should probably say I have a greedy sump fitted with a thermal bypass pellet and oil pressure regulator also I have an aem if that changes anything

Please describe how the catch is plumbed. Just to the oil fill, or did you pick up the oil injector air line too? If an injector check valve is not working, and you have that line running through the catch can, that is a possible source of oil as well, although that is a LOT of oil, and none of it was injected into the engine like it was supposed to.

Also, how big is the catch can, and is their oil in your intake?

Worn side seals, causing extreme amount of blowby gases, lifts droplets of oil into the vents, and fills your can.

Still, four hours to full is a lot of blowby!
