Catalytic Converter Issues!

okay my car sorta has a rattling noise. it sounds like its coming from infront of the passenger seat in the engine bay. it sounds likes somethings hitting something. i already changed oil and its still there. could it be the catalytic converter plugged and the air isnt goin all the way through and its coming back and the noise is the air hitting something.

also. if it is , are universal cats from like andysautosport.com good for cheap or no. also can you get like a straight pipe. as much info as you have is needed thanks!

first off, drop the cat and look inside ... see **** broken up inside? Bad cat, replace asap. How many miles on the car / cat? There is a possibility that you are under warranty and that is covered.

Universal cats are a no-no. Far too much heat from our engine (upwards of 1500 - 1600F under normal driving) that it would destroy most cats. Go OEM, Davesport, or HJS for the most reliability.

Straight pipe? sure....are you hard of hearing? you will need to be to not want to kill everyone after a long drive with straight pipes

Search? learn how to use it, immediately.
