Wish I could. Someone pointed me to a link with a download of a 2 page Mazda service bulletin from December 2004. Unfortunately in a fit of neatness I tossed it. I can't look now, but it will be in one of the threads I've got a post in. I don't have that many. Yet. If you get a chance to look before I do , can you let me know? It was news to my sales guy too.

I suspect what you're referring to is the replacement battery service bulletin that deals with correctly fitting the recommended replacement battery (Interstate MTP-35) into the existing battery box so that air circulation is not obstructed. As far as I have read, there is no new battery box for the RX-8.

EDIT: Here's the link to the replacement battery service bulletin:

That's the one!

Yup, that's it!

I thought it was for a new upgraded battery box. It's not?

Well, I got the car back today. New spark plugs, new battery and they went ahead and did a recall fix (pass. airbag sensor).... oh and a car wash of course

Well, the car works now... and I'm glad to have it back. I havent driven it in 2 weeks!

Only thing is now I'm worried about starting the car and not letting it warm up all the way. I just had to move it about 10 mins ago cause it was blocking my mom's car. I let it warm up a little then reved it to about 3k then shut her off.

I must have a defective owner's manual for my brand new '04 GT that I just picked up. It says almost nothing in it about flooding. The only procedure it mentions to cure it is to crank for no more than 10 seconds with the throttle fully depressed.

Thank you for the reply, and I would love to, but I could not find any service bulletins at that link. Only very cool club write ups. :o
