car bucking at 6-9k rpm??

Hey guys heres the video i just shot on my iphone,
newb launch i know but anyway im having trouble with the cars acceleration. Like the headline reads car bucking at 6-9k the car runs perfectly i have no complaints just this issue. If i floor it the car just seems to bounce or buck when it hits higher rpms. i dont know if you can see in this video if only i had all the rx8club techs to take the car for a spin. A little about the car

its on its 2nd reman engine with about 5000 km
stock minus the AEM CAI and KYB struts
Plugs NGK plug wires NGK and stock mazda coils all replace when engine was done
Only code it throws is a P0410 and once in a blue moon a miss fire

Yeah you can't see much from that video. But from what I remember those symptoms are from a clogged cat, which is the only thing you haven't replaced.

And that's exactly what I am think as well exhaust is the only real thing that has not been changed or maintained. So luckily its my birthday and my girlfriend is buying me a headerback exhaust hopefully this solves my problem

Can't really see the bounce or buck in the video... But you should take your car out and do a couple of redlines and some spirited driving after your engine has properly warmed up. Then park it, and get under your car and look at the cat, if you see a perfect circle glowing red/orange (o2 sensor), that could also be a hint of a clogged cat. It would be easiest to spot the glowing sensor at night if you decide to do this. And yeah you'll probably want to get a midpipe or high flow cat, since the oem cat is prone to failure, but even aftermarket cats are as well. So you're probably just best with a cat delete.

Here's a pic of what the glowing sensor looks like.
