I purchased my RX8 used from Carmax (Dont go there btw... ..... .......)
and after research and comparison i noticed that my cd player and everythign around it didnt quite match up with a stock 07..so after some deductive thinking i came to the conclusion that the car i purchased had been broken into at one point.. after checking the gaps between the doors, i noticed some very slight touch up paint i hadnt noticed before, possibly confirming my thoughts.

Anyhow, the red display bar above the cd player that says whoevers RX8 - the settings your ac is on/temp outside, reads METRA's RX8.. and im guessing you could program that to say your name on the stock radio.. but i dont have a stock radio.. so does anyone know a way to change this without having to buy a stock cd player?

 

you don't need to have the stock radio. Hold down the button that switches the air vents and it'll give you the option to change it.

 

wow seriously? i went to Nelson Nissan/Mazda off Memorial in Tulsa, OK and they said id have to buy another dash/player...amazing how much they rip people off. thank you REN!!!!!
