A/C vents putting out way different cooling

'08 RX8 GT. I've searched in vain for a similar problem. I checked my AC system and the readings are correct. However, I put a temp gauge in each AC vent and my left vent read 70 deg, lt center vent read 60 deg, right center vent read 40 deg, right vent read 65 deg. All readings were AC on, car at 3k RPM. Anyone got any ideas on this one?? Thanks in advance

I wonder if the filter in the blower assembly might be full of dirt?

Can't remember the readings but the A/C guy used the proper guages and said it was way overserviced and brought it back down to spec using the books. Can the cabin air filter do this?

Might as well check it. If its dirty, then replace it with a new one and see how it goes. Good luck.

Jim,

Does the temp change any if you quickly increase and then decrease the temp gauge on the a/c controls?

Basically, start the car, turn on the a/c, let it run for a minute or two, then increase the temp 4 notches, and then rotate it back to full cold.

Then check all the vents?

How about if you switch from fresh air to recirculated air?
Does that change the temp?

Also, has this helped with the car getting massively hot while in traffic?
I haven't seen you mention that as of yet.

When I turn the temp **** to the right the heat comes on very quickly..within a couple seconds. I have switched it back and forth as a friend recommended and noticed it seems to get a bit cooler when I do that. It also gets warmer with outside air. Recirculate is always coldest. I've read the thread about turning on the radio and scan button and checking the numbers. Not sure how to do it or if it works on the '07. I'll find the thread and try it. As far as traffic, that doesn't change the A/C temp noticeably. I've got an appt to get the rad changed out next wednesday. They will take a good look at the condensor then and advise. I also told them about closing off all opportunity for air to get around the radiator. That should help my cooling
