a/c cold but not blowing much air

The a/c is cold but not much air is coming out. Its is not cooling the car off enough to be comfortable even on the highest setting.

Just checking to see if this is just more than likely a filter issue or could it be anything else??

Thanks!
Michele

Yes definitely check the cabin air filter. What year & how many miles? Ever had it changed yet?

It is a 2006 , 44,000 miles. It is something I'm looking into buying. I'm just trying to go through everything possible as far as potential problems. There are no mazda dealers near me and dont really want to get "taken".. I am going to try and get the compression tested before I buy, although so far have found no one that can test it.

If your mechanically inclined, you can check the cabin air filter yourself. You just have to lower/remove the glove box and there is a plastic cover for the filter behind it. See if it looks clogged to verify the low fan output.

Did you already check the carfax and stuff like that?

I dont have the car fax yet. The dealer told me it was fine,I will look at it before buying. It does have the 100,000 warrenty but so far not much for oil change records etc. It went in for a transmission seal replacement is all I saw. Nothing major , no reported accidents or engine replacement.

I gotta have my cabin filter checked because it's getting hot in here now in Vegas. Can you just clean that out and re-use it? Just curious.
