Hi Guys,

Strange problem with my '04 RX8.

It had a new cat fitted in the end of jan as the old one failed. There was a faint burning smell in the cabin occasionaly after this, dealer said it was because of the new cat.

This smell went away mostly but i can still occasionaly smell a burning plastic smell when i've been stood at lights or in traffic for a few mins.

also noticed the bolts on the driver seat got red hot (enough to burn yourself)

Any ideas what this might be?
