Burning clutch smell...so slip

I just installed a new ACT clutch about 8-9 months ago. Cars been running great since that. I only take it out on weekends and special occasions so it doesnt get driven alot. The other day I was on the highway with my cruise control set at 70. After about 30 minutes of driving I noticed a smell and realized it smelt like clutch burning. I took it of of cruise control and pedaled the throttle to check for slippage and there was none. Anybody know what this could be?

This can be a number of things. Start with these:

Check the parking brake, and pads make sure its properly releasing.

Check the brakes starting with the piston. Make sure a piston is not stuck out or jammed.

Now that you took it apart to check the pistons check the floating pins. Make sure none of them got stuck or jammed. Regrease them properly and make sure all 4 calipers are floating.

Sometimes brakes can lock on to a rotor and cause this smell as well, its the same compound.
