Brake light won't work

Hi everybody. Dr. Nick aside, I have a question. Ok so I just got my RX-8 the other day and the driver side brake light won't work. The parking/night light (dual filament) works but not enough voltage for it to work when stepping on the brake. Any guesses?

Have you considered replacing the light bulb?

The bulb doesn't get brighter with more voltage, it actually has two filaments. The wiring has separate circuits for parking light and brake light.

Or at least looked at it. Most of the time, you can see the burned out filament.
