CA brake fluid dirty, recommend induction

hi guys
i went to mazda dealership to change my oil and they multi-point inspected my car and was saying the brake fluid needs to be flushed and recommends induction. induction will cost $140 and brake fluid cost $130 so for the moment i told them i am not going to do it and came home.
i am not sooo sure that they are trying to rip me off or something... but just $140 and $130 sounded a whole rip off to me... or maybe not
would it worth doing it or... if i dont do those am i going to get in trouble or something??

WTF is induction?

Brake fluid change for 130 isn't that bad...but if that's just for the fluid it's a rip off

You can DIY for about $30 WITH EXPENSIVE FLUID...AND ABOUT $15 for OEM DOT3 type

hmm induction....
I didn't actually paying attention to the manager but he was talking something about fuel injector...and fuel economy and my crank engine start...which the manager was starting the engine and it had crank start...(mine is 04, sometimes it has difficulty when starting engine when it's HOT, but I got 06 used starter ready to install)

so fuel injector&economy and weak engine start seems like nothing to do with induction...

Sounds like snake oil dealership stuff

I would pass and get your fluid changed and bleed.....And pour a botle of fuel injector cleaner into a tank of gas That will do the same thing

If you are going to spend $140 on fuel injector cleaning you might as well pull them out and do it properly

Yea those dealership guys makes bull-shittable senses...I wouldn't do both brake fluid flush and induction in dealership... maybe I will do the brake fluid flush in somewhere else..
BTW, what kind of fuel injector would you recommend?

^ the dealership probably meant they'd flush the brake fluid by vacuum (vs. gravity bleed). I guess that could be interpreted as force-inducing flow to remove air bubbles.

As others have cited, just do it yourself. With the money saved install speedbleeders and make it that much easier.

The induction he's referring to is a Fuel Injection Induction service. We have to do them to VW/Audis all the time, bad carbon buildup.

Basically a tank full of Injection/Carbon cleaner is hooked up to the fuel line, and pressurized by shop air. The fuel pump is disconnected (pull fuse). Start the car and run the full bottle of cleaner, takes 10-15 minutes. Basically your car is running off the cleaner, no fuel.
