Body Shop flooded my car, now won't hold idle. Any ideas?

So I've been going through some bad luck with my '05 MT lately. First, somebody pulled a hit and run on my car, leaving a 2ft dent/gashes on my driver's side door. I took the car to a body shop, only to have them manage to both drain my battery and flood my car. My car has never flooded in the 5 years I've been driving it until now.

So I went to the shop and helped them deflood the car. When I first tried cranking (I have the new updated starter), the rpms did not go up at all. I took out the spark plugs (which were soaked with fuel, but still looked ok), dried them, and cranked with the gas pedal all the way down to flush out gas out of the engine. Then I put them back in, and now the car starts, but doesn't hold idle, it just dies when you let off the gas. The shop tried putting in a new battery, but it still dies.

So the shop replaced my plugs with new factory spark plugs, but the problem is still there. The shop and I are pretty stumped now. Doing some more reading on this site, I found an old post by RG saying that the fuel could push the apex seal up into it's groove and it could stick there when the fuel dries, causing a loss of compression. I really hope this is not the case.

Are there any more ideas to try? I believe my coils are still good.

UPDATE:

So I brought my car to my Mazda dealership for them to fix it, and guess what? They found that my compression was low (all chambers around ~6.1), so it's new engine time. Apparently, flooding my car just made it worse to the point where my car won't hold idle, even though it felt like it was running great before. I never would have imagined these series of events to happen: someone dings my car, now I need a new engine. lol.

I'm a little sad though because I thought I did what I could to take car of my car. I did regular 7,500 mile oil changes with using Royal Purple 5w-20 to 50,000K, then Royal Purple 5W-30 to 81K (my current mileage). I started premixing with Idemitsu at 70K. I always warm up the car before flooring it. And I floor it everyday (maybe a little too much, hehe). Anways, I'm the newest member to the new engine club now. Any welcome package?
