sorry was on my mobile on laptop now i cannot hit rev limiter now at all just holds back ad on way home it wont rev higher than 6k now even out of gear rev up only 6k stutters and stays there as if there was a limit at 6k

Plugged cat I think. Possibly seals failing. If it is the car, seals are not far from failing if you keep driving it with a plugged cat.

ok so im going to take cat out and have a look inside if its melted new one will be orderd if cat looks fine i will clean any way with brake cleaner.

if that fails ad still same symtoms whats next to check spark plugs? give them a soft clean up?

it seems like a restriction at 6000rpm dead on mayb the vavle at 6k wont open due to the cats back presure?

 

Dj, on a serious note, drop the cat away from the engine pipe, start your engine and allow it to warm, will it now rev past 6k ? If it does, problem solved.

Engine light finally came on took for diagnostics came up engine control miduale or a sensor aolinoid aomething todo with inlet garage does not habe clue nothing loose any clues? Lights gne nw been clearh gasent appeard yet seens v appears from cold start this morning
