Best way to remove stock Donut Gasket ?
Hey guys...long story short I'd like to remove the donut gasket that is stuck onto my Cat and re-use it, since it looks like it is in good shape. I tried to pry it off gently with a small flathead screwdriver but it wouldn't budge and I chipped off a lil bit of the gasket.
I haven't used WD-40 as it is flammable....wouldn't want the exhaust fumes to potentially cause a spark and cause my car to burst into flames .
Was wondering what techniques you guys have used? Thanks!

Flat blade screwdriver and just work it around the donut until you can get your hand on it to get it off. It is pretty thick so make sure you get under there before trying to pry it up so you don't slip out like you did before.
