Unhappy battery died & car wont respond to remote, key, none of interior control works

Edit: problem solved! check post #15!

Help! Ok so my car was sitting for a week and battery died. As soon as I got the jumper cable attached to the battery, the factory panic goes off with a steady honk. I tried to disarm it with the remote but it seemed to not respond to it. I tried the key method in the door, trunk, ignition and even my extra key, but still no luck. None of the electronics in the car works at all except for the tach gauge lighting up with a full sweep as soon as I turn the ignition to ON.

I got annoyed of the constant honk, so I pulled the horn fuse, but the blinkers were still blinking consistently. I then tapped the green red wire of the factory alarm wire to ground to disarm the alarm and it worked...

My factory panic alarm is now disarmed, but none of the electronics work in the car. Car is still not responding to remote and wont start.

BTW my battery is fully charged. I do have viper alarm installed with remote start, but it has been disabled way before this has even occurred because I accidentally dropped the viper remote in the water. I believe the viper alarm system has nothing to do with this because I havent use it for over a month.

At this point I am guessing its the engine immobilizer... So anyone had experience with this before that can point me to the right direction as to what I should do with my car?

My last resort as to solving this problem would be bring the car into the dealer, but really dont want to pay an arm and a leg for this...

I dont think it has anything to do with viper since the viper alarm was disabled about a month before this occurred. Also it is the panic that is going off.

I will give viper a call tomorrow...

After much research I think my remotes and keys may have to be recoded. Thats probably the last thing I can come up with for now.

Make sure you didn't plug the jumper cables on backwards. If you did you will need to check every fuse on the car and replace the main fuse under the fuse box. The horn goes off when you connect them backwards.

Tapping wires? With 3m crimp style taps? Those can cause wires to break inside pro alarm installers do soldering. Just saying they can go wrong.

I believe I did it the right way... but I could have made a mistake without knowing. What you are saying makes a lot of sense because one of the alarm guys told me to check the main fuse and that it might be blown. Ill give them a check tomorrow, but do you happen to know which main fuse or fuses are likely to blow out?

Thanks!

Ok so i went and checked all the fuses today and they all seem to be good. None are blown, so I am really out of ideas... Maybe the ECU forgot the code of my key and its still thinks that the car is being stolen or something. I am just going to tow it to the alarm shop and see if they have any ideas on how to resolve this issue. If not then this car is going to the dealers.

sigh... I miss this car, but yet I hate the problems...

not cranking at all... I think it has something to do with the engine immobilizer security system though. None of the electronics in the car works except for the gauges lighting up, hazard lights, headlights, and brake lights. Funny thing is none of the fuses are blown.

Did you also check the interior fuses? The main fuse is underneath the fuse strip in the engine compartment. You have to take two 10mm bolts out to get to it.

She's ALIVE!!! Ok so I was stupid.... I didnt know what happened when I jumped the car, but I guess the voltage spiked and cause the main 120 amp fuse to blow out. The car now drives again with no problems at all! Thanks for everyone who helped me out!!!

To MFslacker22, thanks bro for telling me about the main fuse... I was stupid and never thought about checking out the main fuse lol.

So if this ever happens to anyone.... CHECK THE MAIN FUSE!!!
