Check engine light

Check engine light
I just replaced the clutch in my 2005 RX-8, and two days after replacement the check engine light came on when I was driving about 68 mph on the interstate. Nothing seemed to be wrong, it was running well, and I haven't had a chance to check the codes yet.
Without knowing the codes, any idea on what the issue might be? Could the problem be related to the new clutch?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or help.

That code is for catalyst efficiency, if you are under 80k miles then go to the dealer ASAP and do not reset that code. Without the code they probably wont bother to check the cat, and it has a federal warranty for 8 years/80k miles whichever comes first.
If you are not within the warranty then a new cat from Mazda installed is just a ridiculous price. Its usually just under 2 grand I think, but call to find out. You could also find a used one on the forums for ~$400.
You noticed any loss of power, or had any trouble revving high? This really is something you need to get checked soon.

Hi everyone,
I recently bought a 2008 40th Anniversary rx8 edition and today I got a check engine light on. I went to autozone and got it checked. As mentioned by zeotch, I got P0420 code too. What should I do ? Just call the dealer and get it fixed ?

Don't seem to have a loss of power, and no problems revving high. I try to redline at least once a day.
And just as quickly, the CEL light has gone off. I will get it checked out, though.
