Baseball Card in spokes?

Did a quick search and didnt find anything promising...

'04 RX8 MT, 21,500 miles....

Makes a weird sound while moving... sounds like a baseball card in a bycycle spokes.. mostly driving between 40 - 50 MPH... can be cruising in 3rd OR 4th.. can be shifting between 3rd and 4th... clutch in or out... all senerios have made this sound... cant tell if its a heat shield, bearing... or worse...

Just want some input from you guys cuz Ive only owned this car for 3 weeks...

I have an appointment at the Stealership tomorrow... good thing i bought a 4 year extended bumper to bumper warrenty...

Have you looked for any rocks or nails in your tires?

tires are too bald to hold anything... and since posting this, its been in for service and the tech couldnt recreated the sound (of course). and it also hasn't done it since.... I'm hopeing it was just a stubborn big ol' piece of rock salt or something...

Let me summarize ur questions :

"My car is making noise, what noise? I dont know, baseball card noise, checked everything, cant find anything. Tires caught a nail? its too bald to hold anything. I dont know, Im out of ideas, do you guys have any idea ?"

My answer, in short : "No"

We aint god, we cant *see* what you have over the internet, There are too many possibilities. You need to be more specific, like where the noise is coming from, left side or right side, Have you try to get someone to drive ur car while you're stand outside to see where the noise is coming from ? You need to do that.

how would someone standing outside work if it only happend between 40-50mph in 3rd or 4th gear...

the sound is centralized.. but from inside the car... it could be anywhere and echoing....

Read my whole post before treating me like some n00b... and if you read my whole post, you wouldve seen where i put what you have to be doing to make the noise... you would of also seen that i wasnt looking for what the problem was, simply some input from people who may have had the same issue..

And if you read further.. you would of seen that it seems the problem is fixed and when the dealership had it up in the air and tires off checking for anything loose... they couldnt find anything..

Plastic panel is loose.

Check the front panels under the nose, then check the wheel wells.
