Ive had my 04 8 For about 3 years. The LED had always flickered when I hit bumps in the road or rough patches, but just recently went out. The stereo still works fine, so I have been going for about 4 months with no LED.

As of Monday, my AC isnt turning on. The light is showing on the radio head as on and i can change the vent settings but the air coming out isnt cold.

Ive read some of the threads here and figure the 2 are going to be related. But my question is should i take out my AudioLink before taking it to the dealership? Will that be grounds for voiding that part of my warranty?

edit: the LED was flickering prior to AudioLink installation. the Audio link has been installed for nearly 2 years.

 

Before you start questioning other things... do a search on here for the temperature circuit board problem; most likely, this is your issue, and not the Audolink. Essentially, the temperature **** stops working (usually notice it in the winter 'cause all the sudden, you have no heat!) due to a couple bad solders on the circuit board. It's an easy fix, and there's a way to test to see if it's your temperature control **** that isn't working, verses something else.

 

im not saying its the audiolink i was just wondering if the shop my see that and say i voided my warranty b/c it was installed.

the temp **** works. it gets cool on cool and warms up when turned to heat. but but what is blowing stays the same temp. when just the vent is on (temp **** on cool) and when the air condition is turned on.

 

Read this thread and make sure your **** goes 0-16.

 

I would check that, except my LED screen is out as well.
