i have a 2004 automatic that has transmission fluid coming out of the dipstick hole and leaking down onto the engine and exhaust. anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this or if there are any service bulletins on this problem. transmission seems to shift ok.

 

Is it coming out of the top of the dipstick tube or the place where the tube fits into the case?

 

coming out of the hole that you put the dipstick in. i put a wire on the didpstick to hold it in but its still leaking between the dipstick and the tube. fairly big leak. im thinking maybe the breather on the trans is blocked somehow and is forcing the pressure out the dipstick tube ?

 

Somehow the pan is being pressureized; best to take it to a shop.
