i was on my way to riverside mazda, to get my right rear taillight marker bulb replaced.......i was informed by the service advisor, who ive become cool with, has let me know of a TSB recall, as our RX8 motors r havin to be replaced becuz of two problems. One bein an insufficient oil pump........there goin bad a lot sooner then expected, therefore if anyone is experiencing excessive oil consumption, between oil changes as ive had to put at least a quart in between. That and also apparently our engines have been puttin out more emissions, then what CARB, is allowing, therefore what can possibly happen is that mazda will quite possibly have to replace each RX8 owners motor with a brand new one.............n then those of us, who in my case like many others have a lightened flywheel, n upgraded clutch as well as an intake of some kind, at least in my case the advisor said to leave a note for the tech n hell install, ALL of the parts...... n it wont go against ur warantee..........so yea has anyone else heard about this just found this out n hour n a half ago.
