Anyone Have/Had These Problems ??????

I got my engine fully rebuilt and greddy turbo installed not too long ago.
I was told to break engine before i can full throttle and take it past 5500 rpm,so i did. then got my 8 tuned and left it at stock boost.
after i got it tuned i started to open it up slowely.
it boosts clean till about 7000 rpm then seems to cut out and gain no power from 7000 to 9000. I thought it might of been the tuning so i took it back to my tuner and got a boost ctrler installed , he then retuned it , as he was retuning it the turbo maxed out at 7psi .wtf is going on ?
now they are diagnosing it.
could it be fuel injectors ??

also shifting from 4th to 5th gear fine , but down shifting for 6th to 5th grinds after turbo install...

Anyone familiar with these problem? let me kno whats up plz.

As far as the boost cutting off at higher rpms... that has something to do with the management system you are using. When do you get full boost? Are you using the turbo to max your low rpm torque or are you trying to max your hp at the top end of the rpm range? You may just be maxing the boost around 5k rpms and that is what you are experiencing.

The turbo has no effect on the clutch. The only thing I could possibly think of would be that the wastegate wasn't operating properly and wasn't relieving the pressure when the rpms drop. Still that shouldn't cause grinding but it would prematurely kill your clutch plate.

do you have any issues with 7-9k rpm before the turbo was installed?

Do you have a boost gauge installed? If so, what happens to the boost in 7k+?

Your car, stock, should be able to run 8 psi to redline without any issue.

Here's mine if you want to compare: http://proxy.searchirc.com/turbo/custom_cai.zip

Your transmission has nothing to do with the turbo. So there's no way for it to have an effect on it.

It boosts fine till i hit 7k rpm , i gain no power to 9k . its feels like it cuts out and takes a longer to get to 8k , but sometimes from 8k - 9k the boost kicks in again .
so when id open it up id have to shift at 7k rpm so i dont lose power cuz if i try to take it to 9k rpm it seems like i lose alot of boost.
i have a boost gauge and it stays at 5 psi , and sometimes drops off the like 3-4.
im using an Exced Ecu.
and i had no issues before the turbo install.

Do you have the intake restrictor plate in?
Also, unless they routed something interfering with your shift linkage, your tranny issue is unrelated (unless you bent a fork/ground a synchro with the new power).
