all new and still WTF?

Okay so before you all tell me to "SEARCH" i have and i am a mechanic not stupid. My problem is its throwing P0300. All coils are new, Plugs are new, Wires are new. All OEM. There is a new cat on it, MAF is new (it was bad). Ess. shaft sensor tests good. So it also has a new pigtail. Coils have Correct voltage, and good ground, Maf is reading fine, All grounds are good as well as all fuses. Car also has a new fuel pump old burned out. Fuel injectors were cleaned by RC. Compression tests were good. Freeze data doesnt so anything out of the norm. O2 sensors are reading fine. Egr is working like it should. Only thing we havent done is a smoke test. But i dont hear any leaks nor do any of the hoses look bad.

Its a 04 6sp. But it has an import sticker on the door, a DOT modified sticker and the added NR-A equiptment. So maybe i got lucky?
(anyone know where i can check the vin to see if its a true NR?)

compression results:
Rotor 1: 8.6, 8.4, 8.4 284rpm

Rotor 2: 8.5, 8.5, 8.5 278rpm

So again wtf..... any ideas would help

All I could think of are your connections, but you covered that by replacing all the necessary parts already.

Were you able to find anything in this thread? Suffering from a MISFIRE? START HERE!

I'm not a mechanic by profession, but I like to tinker.
You obviously are looking for suggestions or wouldn't be here so this is my 2c.

First thing is I don't believe the RX8 has an EGR, maybe you are confusing this with the Secondary Air pump?
Regardless, the point is if I'm correct and the car doesn't have an EGR you can mark that off your list as being an issue.

It's easy to make a mistake with the Injector connections.
Are you confident the injectors have been re-installed correctly?

Another thought is that the plate around the Eccentric Shaft could be bent or have a wobble. Especially if there has been an after-market under-drive pulley installed.

Only other thing I can think of is if you provide the Freeze frame data and the Maf readings maybe someone here might see something you don't.

Again just my 2c
Goodluck

It is possible you got yourself a bad coil. I would clear the code and see if it pops back up. if it does I would begin testing the coils. There is a thread on here somewhere on how to do that if your not familiar with the procedure. That is here I would start.

Try resetting the ECU (disconnecting battery terminal for a few mins), and the 20 foot brake stomp.

The car will relearn the fuel trims and if the problem continues then look into something else, but it's worth a shot if you haven't done so.

check the eshaft trigger wheel as noted , make sure the brake stomp has been done. double check the shaft sensor is not fouled. if yo have re-checked everything it connected solidly and correctly and is working per spec then its the PCM. make sure its flashed with current code and then if it still happens it needs replaced
