Follow it back to the UIM and remove the hose and cap it off.

Right behind the throttle body to the right is where the VFAD hose connects to the UIM, unplug hose and cap that long nipple with something to make it vacuum tight

I'm not sure if I found it... but m I getting it right? You want me to unplug the hose, put cap on the nipple and leave the hose hanging?? Those are couple pix

A Vacuum cap. they sell them in assortments at Autozone, etc.

kondypl just want to verify something, when you installed the intake did you remove the front bumper and actually remove the VFAD assembly? We kind of just assumed you removed it by telling you to cap the nipple on the UIM. It's just common practice around here to remove it when installing an aftermarket intake.

The VFAD is the Variable Fresh Air Duct it purpose was to reduce noise at low rpm and then open at higher rpm to increase airflow, because of this it's restrictive which is why it's usually removed.

Refer to the first 4 pages of these instructions on how to remove it:

Thank You! No I didnt... I got my intake off someone on the forum so I didnt get the manual or anything and I never saw anyone mentioning this before, thanks for the tip and the pdf file!

I'm really glad I learned something new , I will remove that as soon as possible and see if it gives any effects
