Can a aftermarket (Autozone) gas cap be used in place of the stock one? I have an 2004 GT MT and might have a faulty gas cap because I had a P0455 CEL pop on and I'm trying to troubleshoot a little. Is there an official mazda replacement gas cap or can anything be used?

Yes, there is an official Mazda replacement gas cap, but you can get one from the regular parts store too. I replaced mine with an Advance Auto Parts cap because I needed one to get rid of that code before emissions
