3 engine codes?

Hey guys. I just got my 05 rx8 today! 131k miles. I went down to autozone it has three codes. p0300- random cylinder misfire detected. p0302-cylinder 2 misfire condition detected. p0506-idle control system rpm lower than expected. Its a little hard starting but seems to run fine. I checked the air filter. Its clean. Any suggestions. TX

when was the last time the car was serviced?
The "300" codes are from your engine misfiring. Check your plugs/coils/wires.

K. I'll dig in tomorrow. The dealer said the plugs look newer. I was thinkin of changing the coils too. I seen duralast are 25.99 each. I'll probably get them to see if that takes care of it.

k. I changed the 4 ignition coils. Didn't help. I still got the p0300 and p0302 codes. I ordered new plugs. They will be in a few days. They(autozone) can't get any plug wires so I'm just goin see how the plugs go. Some more info when i get the RPM's up to 4750 the engine light starts flashing. Then goes back to staying on after. Still starts a little hard then takes about 30 second to balance out the rpm's to 1000 at idle.

Dualast coils?
huh, I've never heard of them.

Slow down a bit on buying parts until you know what's wrong and more to the point ... as already stated.

Take It Back To The DEALER and get a free compression test or demand a refund

Well I changed the plugs. But no luck. I'm starting to lead to a coolant leak to the combustion chamber. When I start it a get alot of white smoke for a while till it warms up. Anyone know where this would be?

where are you located?
In cooler climates, the exhaust tends to smoke more. But, if it smells like coolant (sweet), then you have a leak in the engine, and that's no good! Did you check with your dealer?

I'm down it tennessee. It's been humid. Just seemed to take awail to clear out. It could of just built up in the exhaust. Being low down to the ground. This idea coming from a guy being use to driving a jacked up diesel truck But no I didn't notice a sweet smell. No I'm not taken it back to the dealer. It just a small used car deal. No shop. AS-IS.

Update. I used a permant coolant sealer from advance auto. Some stuff nanotech brand $25 a quart. Its a sealant that you flush system than remove the thermistat add product than run 3 hours(I also bypassed the heater core for this step) drain and let set for 12 hours, than flush it out than add coolant and thermistat. Its worked great! Starts right up every day and haven't used any coolant. I've been driving 2 hours every weekday for over a month. Ya I know it's not the mechnics A+ job. But it worked. Time will tell.

Yeah that's just a band-aid fix... looks like you bought a car with a dying motor and since you're out of the warranty period I'd start saving up...

I bought the car intending to buy a remanufactored motor. Money in hand. Just wanted to see how long the motor can last.

are you in a Tennessee county that requires emissions testing? if so it was probably illegal for the dealer to sell the car with emissions related codes
