2004 AT with vibration

Just had a engine replaced 5K miles ago. Now I have a vibration when I am setting at a stop light. When I put my foot on the gas it stops. Now if I put it in neutral it is not as bad, but it comes and goes and little rougher than if I keep it in gear. Have been told it could be motor mounts, I checked them today and they look like thery are ok. Any ideas as to what is causeing my vibration.

Did you have someone sit in the car and rev it up to 6k several times and real fast while you were looking at the engine?

motor mounts. hard to 100% diag visually. that and AT's always have slight vibes, but you obviously already knew that since youve driven a lot lol.

No the only thing I have tried is to look at them. I will have to gsty a neighbor to help me with reving up the motor. I am going to ask the dealer why if the motor mounts were bad they didn't replace them when they put the motor in. Or at least told me they were bad so I could've had the option to repalce they while the motor was out.

I would have to say engine mounts too. Having gone through three sets already. And I believe my right one went out now too. Does it really shake when you come to a stop and then smooth out?

It started shortly after the engine replacement. When at stop light it would vibrate some. As time had gone on it has gotten worse. At first when I put it in neutral it would go away. Now it does it when in reverse too. But it goes and comes, almost to the point that the motor is bogging down some. then stops.

Same thing happened to me vibrates at a stop during the drive mode and reverse...it goes away during neutral.....comes and go every now and then. I replaced my motor mounts and my problems were fixed. Get it replaced and your problems is solved
