Exclamation 2004 RX8 Clutch/Transmision issue!

Okay so I've been having a really annoying problem with my RX8.. I am kind of a newbie but I am relatively knowledgable when it comes to cars. Any information or ideas would help!

So heres the problem the clutch will not engage. Its sitting in neutral and it will shift into gears while the engine is not running but when it is it will not shift into any gear. When it first happened the clutch pedal would hit the floor and stay there so I replaced the Clutch Slave Cylinder, after that the problem with shifting stayed the same except the clutch pedal no longer stuck to the floor, but when pressing the pedal up and down it had sort of a grainy feel to it... We (as in my brother and I) did bleed the lines completely and when we did so the fluid came out grey, I read another thread on here that said that was an issue with the clutch master cylinder, and so since this seemed fitting we went ahead and replaced the master cylinder as well, and after now bleeding the lines completely we still had the same problem. So trying the next thing we adjusted the clutch pedal following directions on a different thread here. After adjusting the pedal the clutch feels great, so no more grainy or bubbley feeling to it. However it still wont go into gear.... Very annoying.... As I said before when the engine is stopped it WILL go into gear and when we put it in gear and try to start it does lurch forward, so it really is going into gear it just seems as though for whatever reason the clutch wont engage....

A little bit to add I did replace the clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing just back in december so it really shouldnt be that! Anyways any idvice or ideas would be awesome! Thanks in advance!

Well an update is that a mechanic told me (without actually looking at the car) that it sounded like a problem with the "Shift Solenoid." And well I know absolutely nothing about this... I've never even heard of a shift solenoid. Has anybody else heard or experienced a problem with this? I haven't been able to find a price on it anywhere either so I'm not sure.. I asked at autozone about the part and they said it's "dealer only" in their system. Anyways if anybody anything about this then it would be awesome if you gave me any info you think might be useful.

LOL.... You may want to find a new mechanic if they are telling you your problem with a manual transmission is a shift solenoid.

Have you checked you clutch pedal to see if it's broken?

Did you replace the brake master cylinder in the engine bay or the slave cylinder mounted on the top of the Transmission?

Haha yeah I just figured that out...

The pedal doesnt seem broken... Unless the break would not be obvious?? I dont know what to look for there.

I replaced the master clutch cylinder not the brake cylinder. And yes the slave cylinder that is mounted on top of the transmission.

Well I looked at it and the Clutch Pedal seems fine... Any other ideas? I thought about the clutch fork and throwout bearing but I don't know.

It turned out the clutch disc that I had JUST BOUGHT was a piece of junk. The carbon disc just sort of broke off. When we pulled the transmission down there were piece of the carbon disc all over inside and the clutch disc was just the metal. So it could be the same issue for you if you recently replaced your clutch.
