Typically the conditions needed to diagnose a faulty throttle body include:
A) failing engine compression and/or failing ignition components
B) A dealer that doesn't know any better

The proper resolution is usually replacing either the engine or the ignition, and your throttle body will they work correctly.

Do some searches through Google with "Site:rx8club.com" about throttle bodies. Nearly every single "failure" or replacement I've seen is when a dealer incorrectly says that your low compression or dying ignition issue is a faulty throttle body. I haven't (personally) seen someone report a justified throttle body replacement. They might exist, I'll allow for that, but it's likely not your problem.

do you really think it's a faulty throttle body?
Not saying that a faulty TB isn't the issue. Just, don't limit your problems to just that.

Can you give more details? (mileage, mods, maintenance history, etc)

EDIT: RIWWP, you type way to fast!!!

I have a 2004. Same thing was happening to me, except my check engine light was on intermittently. The code said that the SSV was stuck open. I took it to the dealership. They said there were two large vacuum leaks and sealed them. Runs fine now and the check engine light is off.

How old are the coils? They could be getting hot and failing.

Also, look at the $100 thread in my sig. There is a cooling mod or two that will help with under hood temps. Would not hurt to check grounds, clean maf and clean ess while under there..

hello... I have a 2003 manual RX 8 from Japan with a compression problem... I was considering buying a new engine... I wanted to know if a 2004 or later year would fit in my car.... I know it's probably a stupid question but I still wanted to ask.... also I see that Mazda RX 8 starts from 2004 inside the US ... does my car restrict me to buying an engine only in Japan

Japan labels the cars 1 model year newer than the US, a 2003 JDM RX-8 is a 2004 USDM RX-8.

You are looking for a 6-port engine though, so you can use any 6-port series1 engine. In the US this was 2004-2005 manual transmissions equipped RX-8s, and all 2006-2008s, regardless of transmission. Japan may be similar, but I don't know the details of when all the series1 6-port was used over there. I suspect it would be any manual transmission from 2003-2007, and probably late automatics, but I don't know the answer to that.

And no, you can't use the 6-port engine from the series2 RX-8 (2009-2011 in the US)

I honestly don't know, you are probably going to want to check with your regional forums. The only option from the US that might be viable would be Mazmart, but shipping would be a killer.
