Unhappy 2004 RX-8 Won't Turn Over

I didn't want to highjack another thread so here's my problem.(My logins are messed up, im also Rexx) My car has been sitting for about two weeks. At first it was flooded and i was in the process of unflooding it. For some odd reason, it was a lot harder to unflood.

After about three days of failure, the car no longer wanted to turn over. Within this time the battery was replaced, terminals checked, fuses checked. I will have a video showing that nothing happens (which is a bit stupid) but hopefully will help someway. The CEL does flash about 8 times.

I hope to get this fixed as soon as possible without having it have to be towed to a Mazda dealer where i will be charged $200 just to have it looked at. Can anyone help me out please?

What's the Cel? Get a reader.

Maybe you've burned out the starter.

3 days to deflood ... obviously your doing it wrong or there is another reason your car won't start.
Like low compression, bad coils, bad plugs, bad gas, etc.

Is it a MT or Auto?

How many miles?

Maintenance?

Modifications?

I tried to take it to autozone but the car must be on which will obviously not happen.

I thought about the starter but will the starter be able to affect the electrical?

I've done the same defloodin procedure a dozen times before.

It's MT, about 68,000 miles, just bought a year ago freshly tuned, changed the oil twice, no mods.
