It is really sad that all these really great engine improvements are overshadowed by that ugly plastic grille on the new models.

From the looks of it, if you blow the old engine type, putting in a new one should make you feel better. Interestingly, with the improved engine and changes, I would think the RX-8 would get that claimed 232HP and maybe 240HP much more consistently.

I wonder which of these new parts can go into the old RX-8?

For example can you put the improved water pump, radiator, cooling fan, or new oil pressure sensor into the old RX-8?

My radiator should be fine. Hmm I wonder what kind of *new cooling fan* they have. probably changing the fan blades or shape, could probably bolt on since all RX-8 has same frame.

oil pressure sensor I'll pass, I already have one but its always good if it comes @ stock ...

I have been thinking the alternator is too small for this car. 100amp MAX. blah, I think the most you can get out of that thing is around 90~ish or 90 AMP. Maybe thats why FEED has a replacement of 130AMP. Hmm Can this bolt on to our car now ? control by the PCM huh ... I doubt it then.
