not sure if this has been posted up, and if it has been i apologize, but I figured I'd throw it up here for you guys:

I'll have some more stuff tomorrow, I just received the new workshop manual for it so I'll see what I run into of interest. Oh and also of notice is the alternator no longer has a voltage regulator, the PCM controls the alternator completely now. Kevin. |
sweet thanks kev

Wow, great stuff!
|
So they will *Finally* have a working oil pressure sensor instead of a dummy Gauge ?
wow .... at last What kind of radiator change they have I wonder ... hmm Oh Thx for the info Kevin ! :) I know the engine cannot be change ... |
neat info.. thanks
|
keep up all the great info kev.
beers  |
It is really sad that all these really great engine improvements are overshadowed by that ugly plastic grille on the new models.
From the looks of it, if you blow the old engine type, putting in a new one should make you feel better. Interestingly, with the improved engine and changes, I would think the RX-8 would get that claimed 232HP and maybe 240HP much more consistently. I wonder which of these new parts can go into the old RX-8? For example can you put the improved water pump, radiator, cooling fan, or new oil pressure sensor into the old RX-8? |
My radiator should be fine. Hmm I wonder what kind of *new cooling fan* they have. probably changing the fan blades or shape, could probably bolt on since all RX-8 has same frame.
oil pressure sensor I'll pass, I already have one :) but its always good if it comes @ stock ... I have been thinking the alternator is too small for this car. 100amp MAX. blah, I think the most you can get out of that thing is around 90~ish or 90 AMP. Maybe thats why FEED has a replacement of 130AMP. Hmm Can this bolt on to our car now ? control by the PCM huh ... I doubt it then. |
