Fix the trunk switch. I haven't seen it yet, but I know it's simple.
Just unthread the housing and in stall a very narrow washer. This will push the switch higher. Or on some cars you can turn the thread out a turn and and accomplish the samething beause the housing will not screw back into the chassis.

Or do it the poor man's way. Add some tape to the surface that the switch contacts.

Keep adding until the problem is solved. (Unfortunatley this may not be a permenant fix)

Why do you want to slam the trunk? DO not abuse the 8 or God will frown on you.

Fix the problem.
