Winter Storage

I will be storing my 8 for the winter very soon. This is my first time storing so I was wondering if anyone has any ideas... I have a place to store it free outside (temps can reach -40 Celsius)... or I can pay 100-200/month to store in a heated garage. Should I absolutely opt for heated indoor parking or is there a safe way to store it outside for the next 5-6 months?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

I guess a better question would be...
Is it safe to park my 8 outside for the winter?

It will be mostly fine as long as you occasionally wash it and drive it. Take the battery out or run a battery tender. Cover is not needed but if you park under a tree then sure.

You'll also want to put in a full tank and use sta-bil fuel stabilizer, but you will see all the info under the winter storage thread

Sta bil and a battery tender. Maybe a blanket as well.

Just make sure you have a full tank of gas and tire pressure is slightly over full. Remove battery and put it on a tender. No need for sta-bil or conditioners, unless left for OVER 6 months. Even then, I don't bother.

Seafoam in the tank and pump tire pressure 2psi above recommend.
Wash if possible and fully dry.

Since I'm on the third engine, I think I'll keep this one out of the salt to see how it fairs. Lol
Thanks for the information guys

Don't forget to be sure to keep the air on the recirculate mode, helps keeps mice out of your dash.

Mothballs in the engine compartment will help keep critters from crawling in there. Steel wool (brillo wad) on the exhaust will keep them from going in there too (don't want to find your cat has become a squirrel's nut stash)
Either keep the battery indoors where it won't freze or on a trickle charger on the car.
Clean the car before storage to help stave off corrosion.
Sta-bil and seafoam on the tank to ensure the fuel is good (and moisture-free
