Exclamation Windows Go Down By Itself? No one in Car?

Hello,

I just got my 2009 RX-8 R3 about 1 month ago and its been 2 times now where Ive walked outside and my windows are rolled down about 12 inches. (Obviously I did not leave them down LOL..)

I was playing with a few buttons on my remote inside the house (Lock and Unlock) and when I walked outside, the windows were down and as I approached the car, the doors locked all of a sudden on there own.

Has anyone else experienced this? LOL. Its very weird.. (I know I didn't leave them down because its below 0C around here and that would be very stupid lol..)

Any help would be nice.

Thanks,

Jason

LoL Yea no doubt.

I just finished reading through the manual and I found the answer lol. The 2009 is equipped with a Auto-Window Rolldown/Rollup by using the remote to "allow a breeze to enter the car before jumping in"...

lol. Thank anyways for the help..

Page 3-39 For anyone who has an 09 RX-8. LoL

You have to Press the Unlock Button (Doors Unlock), then press and Hold the Unlock again for 4 seconds and they will go down.

To Roll them Up, press and hold the Little Button on the Door Handle till they rollup OR Insert key and turn to the right until they roll up..

LoL. Yea. I was going to delete my post but I said I may as well leave it up just incase anyone else runs across this. Initially, I thought it may has been a faulty wiring issue. :-S

Is this new for the 09s or do the 04-08s have it as well? Just curious

We ain't got that...............and I really don't want it. Just another way to suck the last remaining milliamps off the battery when you don't expect it.
Keep reading that manual......there is some good stuff in there.
I think you should leave the thread up as well........I can't believe we(or at least I) haven't heard of this with the 09's before now.

Heel is still getting back to normal. Torn tendons around the ankle are still sore but it's 90% there.

Not allowed to wear anything but tennis shoes, not allowed to run, jump, etc, etc, blah.....blah....blah.

Thing that sucks is I got use to wearing shorts to work for six months while in the cast/boot and it was kinda nice!

on other cars when you hold down unlock button the windows go down, and when pressing lock down, the windows close.
