Why is the automatic Rx8 louder than 6spd manual?

I ownan automatic and this week I test drovea 6speed for a long time and I noticed that my stock automatic sounds muchlouder than the 6spd does especially at lower RPMs. Why is this so? Now Ican understand why so many people are puttingin custom exhaust and intake on the manual. Stock manual seems to be extremely quiet comparedto the automatic.

Probably de Auto Trans, since it is bigger, it has more moving parts, and you hear them more at idel or low speeds.

If youve driven both versions of the car youd notice that it has nothing to do w/moving parts. Its the actual intake and exhaust notes that sound louder. I thinkit has somethingto do w/the differences between the manual and automatics intake and exhaust systems. Theyre not exactly the same since one is 6 port and the other is 4 port plustheres longer gearing in the automatic too.
