LA Whew !!!!!

Had a really interesting week with my baby. About 2 weeks ago I got a CEL whicj gave a misfire code. Have a buddy here, who has been working on Mazdas for 15+ years, when the dealer cant fix one, they send it to him. Took the car in, he does the usual checks on it, test drive, misfire, investigate more, misfire. The car gave him a hard start, 16-20 seconds, checked compression, on the money on both rotors. The second to last day, he goes to put my car inside the shop for the night, turns on the headlights, the car backfires and almost dies. Short story long, he ohms out the ground, 15.8 ohms. So, after checking and cleaning all ground points, ohm load back down to .3 ohms. Went ahead while he had the car, new flash, and tuning done. She runs better than ever!

Mazda's cars are known to have crappy grounding points. It's not just RX-8. ALL Mazda cars, after certain years, WILL have this problem.
