NH where to find good spark plugs?

Anyone know where to purchase spark plugs for a o4 rx8 MT. And what does trail and lead mean?

Ok take a look at this attachment.
T is for trailing L is for leading. You have a Trailing plug on top and a Leading plug on the bottom.
As for where to find good spark plugs, well finishlineperformance.com has some or autozone $20.00 each or ask a vender on here for a set. You can get them for $80.00 shipped or if they wont budge on the price getem from autozone, takes like a day for them to get in.

Check rotaryengineillustrated.com, good animations and explanations of what the trailing sparkplugs do and why they're needed.

Stick with the factory plugs (NGK), from wherever you can get a good price (probably NOT the dealership).

Leading and Trailing relates to the rotor combustion chamber rotation. Due to the rotationally long chamber two plugs per rotor housing are required and they fire sequentially to provide sufficient spark/burn across the chamber (yes, our rotors travel faster than the speed of heat.

The rotor housing has a cast 'L' and 'T' adjacent the respective sparkplug locations. The plugs are also coded with an "L' and 'T.' Make sure you match up the existing sparkplug cables as well.

There's an excellent sparkplug replacement how-to in the 'DIY' forum section.

I broke an insulator taking a plug out today (I flooded my 8 by moving it to a different side of the street that has unrestricted parking...) anyway, i called the dealership here in Burlingame (Bay Area California) and they wanted to charge me $138 for ONE spark plug!!! I'm ordering from autozone and waiting a day...

Just got buy some rx7 plats at the local autoparts place for $5 a pop. The iridiums are kinda pointless if you replace them as much as you should in a rotary since they get so ashed up.

I have 2 sets of RX7 plugs waiting to go into my FC.

but seriously speaking, I will never put them into my Rx-8. yeah it cost like what 6 bux each but why bother ? I mean every fill up now cost me almost 40 bucks (2.99 premium ~~~) every 5 days anyway, why would I need to be cheap about that 70-80 bux for 4 brand new plugs every year ?

You just can't compare Platinum to Iridium. 2 different levels.

and yes, that amazon link is legit. from time to time amazon has crazy deals.

The Amazon deal is legit - they won't ship as fast as BHR (Amazon free shipping takes 5-9 days) but it's a total of $65.86 for a set of 4 plugs (2 RE9BT and 2 RE7CL) shipped. So, if you need 'em for the weekend, go through somewhere else, but if you can plan ahead a bit, it's a great price.

Interesting note though - the title on the RE7CL plugs on Amazon says "Laser platinum" though the description clearly says Iridium in more than one place... given it's the right part number I am assuming they don't make a variation with the same part number

Besides, it is nobody's fault but my own when people around here don't realize that I can get all the same stuff as other vendors and I have a pretty decent rep as a vendor on top of that.

Fluid has good prices, I have good prices, and anyone else selling theses plugs for $80 shipped is selling them for about as cheap as you can find them. If that Amazon link is legit then I would simply spend my time on more important things and send people over there. NGK ships the plugs in boxes of four so we vendors are forced to open the boxes, swap a pair, and create a set of 7s and 9s for our customers. Not a big deal but not exactly convenient, either.

I got some plugs from Amazon before (long *** time ago, maybe 2-3 yrs ago?)

sometimes the description could be a little off, but dont worry its the right plug.

Im thinking should I get a few. cuz for some reason I just lost 2 of my trailing plugs. only 2 of the 6 hot plug left.
