Where is the DSC button located?

On my first test drive I couldn't find it in a sport package model. Where exactly is it located so I don't fumble around on my next test drive.

I think I know the answer to this, so flame on and I'll realize I was right.

There is a blank switch panel on either side of the Dash Illumination switch and the DSC switch in my GT pkg '06 RX-8. Are those switches occupied on models other than the GT pkg? If so what's on them?

I just didn't want to put the Master Arm and Weapons Release switches there if I need them for someting else.

The manual may have it, but he's a test driver, not an owner.

On my GT, the DSC Off button is located to the left of the steering wheel, below the left air vent, but above the small storage comparment. It's the middle switch between the dashboard illumination switch on the left and an unused "switch slot" on the right (my GT doesn't use it for anything).

You description is more accurate, but I still like brattessani's art work better. But what option did brattessani order to get FIVE switches on the panel and the DSC moved all the way over to the left? Brattessani, did you just get tired of that dang DSC trying to drive you car for you and remove it all together, or is the artwork just a Freudian slip revealing what you really think about DSC?

On my (RHD) Japanese import Type S here in NZ, the three switches are:
- instruments light settings
- DSC Off switch
- Headlight levels selector (three position)

You won't have that last one as you've (usually) got an automatic leveller on US models I gather.

Who is Thread Jack, what does he smell like, and I like DSC (but then I'm that usless lower 50% of the RX-8 population that has an A/T).

Back to topic, since they gave use two spare positions, what should I fill them with? Headlight wipers switch, Transporter style license plate changer, what?

Use them for the 12-gauge Anti-Tailgater upgrade.

But then they'd get in the way of the 20mm traffic disperser upgrade.
