I just recheck all my older invoice. it seems that, what they all did was just keep on replacing the lights, none of them actually replace the gasket.

Anybody know if the light comes with a new gasket ? or they just reuse the old one from the old lights.

if thats true, damn, Im still using the same gasket that came with my car no wonder its still fogging up like ****.

since you're here, if I get the gasket listed in Mazda's rear combination light TSB. Will this problem be fixed ? (from your experience)

ill be honest... i always just replace the whole assembly. it comes with the updated gasket on the back of it already. you could surely try to replace the gasket, it will be cheaper but i really doubt it will help much.

I just had both my rear lights replace like 2-3 months ago. Last night its fogging up again ...

*sigh*

I still have warranty but, it takes them 3 days to replace them (1 day to check, 1 day to order!!! 1 day to replace ), its too long I dont wanna wait.

*sigh*

Yeah they do replace the whole assembly. When I had my drivers side taillight replaced, it came with the new gasket as well. Unfortunately now both lights are fogging up, so I need to get them both replaced under warranty.

make sure they replace the very top plastic piece, I was told that the old piece would come in contact with the trunk when closing and apply stress on the light.

Are you talking about the weather stripping? Also, I though the same thing about the trunk coming in contact with the light. My driver side taillight does have the updated gasket, but it still leaks.
