U mean the engine cranks but wont start ?

If it is then, either weak battery, or your engine has been flooded(unlikely tho)

It's not the battery... the engine is turning over... but it wont start, and the battery is completely fine.

What should I do?

Now that I remember, my dad moved the car from the road into the driveway (without warming up) - and now it won't start...

Does this sound like it's flooded?

If so, how do I get that fixed? Do I need to contact Mazda?

Thanks.

All the flooding issues have been fixed.

I think it's your battery.

When was the last time the car was moved? Yesterday? How cold is it now?

Um, The car was moved about 2 days ago. It's about 50-60°F outside. The battery seems fine.. Hmm.

It's manual, I just tried starting with jumpers.. It's deff not the battery.. the battery is fine... It turns over and will not start, tried cranking it for about 7 secs and didn't start... What does this sound like?

Fuel or spark. Maybe, clutch switch.

Hope it's not flooded. But it sat two days so the gas should have dried up by now.

You have to really soak the ceramic part of the plug to flood the car.

Weak or failed coil. Wait for someone else to help you here.

Then looks like it's Mazda dealership time.

We have gotten vapor lock in winter before in Minnesota.

Long shot. Try to remove the cap and keep it off for a while the re-try.

when my car flooded, 24 hours later it still wouldn't start.

his car was fine till his dad moved it and shut it off without the car warming up. You don't get a much more accurate description of how to flood the car than that.

the upgraded batt and new pcm programming is going to lessen the chances of the car flooding, but I doubt it will prevent the car from flooding 100% of the time. You should warm up the car before shutting down.

I had my clutch switch fall off somehow...I managed to snap part of the casing that holds it on to the bar. Don't know how I did it.

I would definitely check for that though.

If your engine was flooded and it sat in that condition for 5 days, your spark plugs are probably fouled. If I'm correct, no amount of cranking or battery jumping will start it. Get your car towed to your RX-8 mechanic. It seems as though that's what you'll have to do anyway. Sorry for your trouble. You might let all in your household who might move your RX-8 that if they turn it on, they should leave it on until it reaches operating temperature.
