What's that rectangular tube next to the rad?

What's that rectangular tube next to the rad?

It's on the passenger side, it looks like it's clipped against the passenger side of the radiator, but I don't think it has anything to do with the radiator. I can't see where it goes from under the car or from under the hood. It looks like an air intake for something, but I can't think of anything that would use that. I've never seen anything like it on any of my other cars. Anyone know what it is, I'm just curious.

its a duct that feeds air into the battery box and it is attached to the rad

Thanks. I've never seen that before. I've seen vents to remove gases from the battery, but never a duct to feed air to the batt.

Same purpose. Easier to push air into the battery enclosure and let it push gases out through gaps in the battery enclosure, than to pull gases out.
Potentially has a cooling effect also.
