What is this part for?!
Does anyone know what the thing in the picture is for. When I bought the car it was in the glove box, just wondering WTF it would be used for.

LOL, it took me a few months later to find out too.... and the little slit in the visor and the red gauge display in the dimmer switch. And I swore I read somewhere that your rearview mirror was adjustable? But I've searched and I can't find it, I've read the manual and it's not there and I've played with the mirror and all I did was jack up my view.

I sure enjoy your avatars, never get old. Do you have the autodim mirror with HomeLink? I have no problem adjusting mine.

It makes you wonder what else the Dealership missed on that checklist. I didn't have that thing on my car. I had mine installed a month after the purchase.

I've never had a problem with the mat moving on the drivers side, but I wish they'd install the same doomahickey on the passenger side. That mat is getting all kinds of messed up because it won't stay in place.

I actually modified my Pep Boys $25 floor mats to fit on this piece. Since mine came without the mats I went to Pep Boys and bought some mats then had a friend put a black metal grommet on the mat so that it would fit overtop the peg. It took all of 7 minutes to do. To this day it has never come off except when I remove it to vacuum.

You can even add the same part to the passenger side (about $3.50). I then added grommets to both the carpeted mats and the "All weather mats" on that side too.

I looked and saw none?
Are you talking about the little holes so we can see the stop light with the visor down?

No there's a small slit on the right hand side of the visor. Underneath the vanity mirror,on the side that the warning stickers is on. Just large enough for drivers license or business card.

I've had my car for 3 days and those floor mats were already pissing me off. That bracket just solved that rattling noise from the glovebox AND my floormat problem. Thanks!
