Arrow What is this connector for?

I found this connector taped off in my engine bay.

This image is taken from the passenger side with the air pump removed

Thanks for any input!

Shitty pic but it could be for the SSV plug. But there are a couple of plugs in that area.

hmmm interesting. can you see what the wire colors are? take the tape off the plug and get a pic of the connector. I cant think what it would be. water temp sensor??

Removed the tape. Turns out the connector was actually plugged in underneath.

I have no clue why it was taped up as if there was nothing plugged into it.

FWIW There was a blue and a black wire on it.
