What battery do you use?

I'm in need of a new battery soon (don't want it to be the cause of a flood), so I'm looking at getting a new battery. I've always had optima's before. My last one in my civic was the yellowtop optima and it worked incredible. Thinking about going to the red top optima for my 8 this time due to the fact that it has more crank amps. Check it out if you want. What are you all using???

Walmart Ever start or whatever it is, made by Johnson Controls. Only $80. for 550 cold cranking amps.

First, they have large turnover for freshness.

Second, I might be on a road far off on a Sunday, but I can limp to Walmart with someones jump, trade on the spot, and be done with it. I can't believe my crap Panasonic battery lived 4 years, but it was still cranking with only 12.07 volts so I knew to test.

Mine was replaced under warranty when the car was only 2 years old and had just 5K miles.
The replacement is still working fine after 5 years and 29K miles driven with it.

I'm on my 2nd Optima Yellow Top.
First one made it just shy of 4 years but was abused quite often due to my stereo, being fully discharged a few times, and the usual wear that comes with 60,000 miles.

Well I have had my OEM battery for about 4 years and I am now finding myself jumping my car about every 2-3 days....Time for a new battery. I want to go with the red top but it's a bit excessive in price. Any other recommendations except the batteries listed here?

Wasn't the general concensus to stay away from new red tops. I feel like there was a thread talking about how they arent as good quality as they used to be

Optima Yellow Top, since I only drive my car in the weekends, this battery doesnt drain as quick as conventional ones which is why I bought in the first place. Once left the car sitting for 2 months since I went overseas, but forgot to take off the battery terminal, car started after I came back. Second time I left for overseas again, this time for two weeks, it drained, charged it up after I came home and within 6 hours I was good to go again. Now using it for about close to 2 years now.
