Weird Warm Start Problem

I got a weird warm start issue which comes up about once a week.

When the car is at full operating temp and gets turned off, it will start up perfectly everytime as long as I try within 10 minutes after turning it off, but if I wait between 10-15 minutes once in a while it will crank for 3-4 full seconds before it even attemps to start, almost like its not getting fuel....

I got the n3z1 and it cranks fast so im hoping that its not a compression problem, anybody had starting problems like this? Im hoping its just my fuel pump or something

How old are coils and plugs? If ignition stuff has recently been replaced, a compression check is probably a good place to start.

coils plugs and wires have been recently changed. 89k miles on engine

I think the problem is I have been driving it a little easy, I just tried driving really really hard, staying redlined in third gear for 5-10 seconds at a time to try and clean the engine up from all the slow driving I been doing.

I never really believed when people said you need to rev the engine high or you will kill it, but its totally true, never drive this engine easy! Redlining it once or twice in 1st and 2nd gear doesn't seem to cut it because I always did that, but after redlining in third and staying in red line for a while seems to have cleaned my engine up nicely! I can definitely feel compression has gone up, it warm starts a lot better now and I can definitely feel more power!, it just feels the best yet since ive owned it and it barley makes a difference in mpg when I drive it hard as long as im not being dumb and red lining to red lights all the time ;/

Not sure if this has fixed the rare 3 second crank issue i have once in a while, but it has definitely made a big difference with my car.

I actually made a thread a month or two ago called "good fuel savings tips here" which after reading again is all garbage, i went ahead and deleted that thread because it talks too much about keeping rpm low which is just horrible for this engine, honestly drive the **** out of it every time that's just the way its designed

Will be doing seafoam and compression test soon

future upgrade for me will be sohn adapter with idemitsu, and switch engine oil over to synthetic!
