Well my water pump is leaking. I was wondering if the 09 will fit my 04?

yeah but at the price i cant afford that right now. where as they sell the 09 for 70 bucks

 

From what I have heard there is a difference between the 2004-8 and the 2009 water pump. My understanding is the '09 water pump won't fit anything but the '09.
Now this is just what I heard from some reliable sources. It is not physically confirmed.
