Some dealership service dept's can be ********* about it and some are okay with it.
Generally they (of course) will not warranty the aftermarket part and will void any warranty on lets say suspension issues if you install a sway bar or coil overs. But they would have the burden of proof trying to prove a failure in a warrantied part was caused by the aftermarket part.
I have heard of an issue when a MAF sensor failed and the owner had installed a K&N intake. The dealership refused to replace the MAF under warranty because the oil in the filter had contaminated the hot wire sensor in the MAF and caused it to fail. The driver wound up paying out of pocket.
Generally I would talk to your servicing dealer on thier views on the installation of aftermarket partt.
