Warranty repairs...

If I plan on having many things fixed on my vehicle (most of the TSBs), including the squealing brakes, inconsistent AC performance, rough idling, etc, can I expect it to take a few days or more? Will they provide me a loaner? I have been procrastinating this because I really cannot be without my car (work), but I need these things fixed. What has your experience been?

Thanks.

As far as time is concerned, it all depends on your dealer(workload, etc..) You may get a loaner. Most people on here seemed to have gotten one if it was going to take an extended amount of time. I personally have never gotten one. But, the longest they have ever had my car was 24 hours. Really no need for one for that short of time.

you can expect for the dealer to tell you they have all the parts and THEN get a call in the middle of the day telling you they dont really have them all and they have to be ordered. you should get a loaner/rental if you request it.

When you make your service appointment, make sure you ask for it then so they'll have one waiting for you. Also, you have some power as to what loaner you can get.

Loaner/Rental is covered under the warranty. If mine goes in for 3 hrs, I drop it off, get a rental to go to work and pick it up in the afternoon.

Can you quote exactly where it is stated that a loaner is covered under warranty?? I have heard this but have seen no proof as of yet. Thanks.

I need to look, but I know it is at least here in NY. When I drop off the car, thay ask, "Do you need a car", I say yes and go on my way. It's actually a rental, but I just sign and they pay the bill. I'll see if I can find it in my papers somewhere.

I can't seem to find it anywhere. I know it was told to me verbally by several salesmen and it has been honored with no questions asked. I'll keep looking.
